British producer and DJ Ross From Friends, aka Felix Weatherall, best know for his emotional track “Talk to me”, “a leading figure of the emergent lo-fi scene” according to Mixmag magazine, was at Brighton Music Hall on Sept 19, 2019.

Along with John Dunk on sax and Jed Hampson on electric guitar, he delivered a superb set ; Dustin Rosatta, a Boston-based DJ, was the first act with an energetic indie-electro style. The show was nearly sold out for an evening of edgy electro, a regular staple of this venue.

Brighton Music Hall is not on any treks from Boston Walks; it is too far from downtown; yet it has a very relaxed atmosphere, and for shows where the performers are next to the public and that ends before midnight instead of starting at midnight, as most DJ sets do, it’s a place to remember.

Le producteur et DJ britannique Ross From Friends, Felix Weatherall de son vrai nom, connu principalement pour le très romantique “Talk to me”, “une figure importante de la scene lo-fi” selon Mixmag magazine, était à Brighton Music Hall le 19 septembre 2019.

Accompagné de John Dunk au saxo et Jed Hampson à la guitare, il n’a pas failli à sa réputation. Dustin Rosatta, un DJ de Boston, était en première partie avec un style indie-électro énergisant. Le concert était pratiquement à guichet fermé pour une soirée d’électro alternatif, une spécialité régulière de l’endroit.

Brighton Music Hall n’est pas sur les itinéraires de Promenades à Boston; c’est trop loin du centre. Ceci dit, l’endroit est relax et pour des concerts où les artistes sont près du public et qui finissent avant minuit au lieu de commencer après minuit comme c’est souvent le cas avec l’électro, c’est un endroit à garder en mémoire.
